Family Childcare Agency Registry

The Family Child Care Agency maintains a family child care registry. The registry lists approved child care providers in the St. John’s and surrounding area who have spaces available and a list of parents who are looking for family child care.

The Family Child Care Agency responds to a family’s child care requests by collecting specific information about their child care needs. Should a family child care provider have a space available, this information can help the family child care provider determine whether or not they can meet the family’s child care needs. The agency facilitates the connection between parents and child care providers by giving parents the provider’s phone number. The agency then follows up with the parents within a couple of weeks. The agency approved Family Child Care Providers are required to keep the agency up-to-date on spaces as they are filled.
